Eggs are used very frequently in Japanese food.
The Japanese word for egg is Tamago.
To pronounce this correctly, let’s first break it down into syllables:
Ta-ma-go.
As you can see, you have three separate sounds.
The first sound, “Ta” is pronounced similar to ta in the word taco.
The second sound, “ma” is pronounced like ma in the word macho.
The third sound, “go” is pronounced the same as the English word go.
Now put all of the sounds together and gradually try to speed up your pronunciation of the entire word as you get more comfortable with it. Before you know it, you’ll have it!
